Introduction to Weaving
Date: Friday, April 4, 2025 OR Friday, May 9, 2025 (last weaving class till September)

Description:
We will be using Shacht 15” Cricket looms for this class, provided by Three Bags Full. We will begin by warping our looms and continue to weave a placemat 12 inches wide and approximately 18 inches long. Cricket Looms may be purchased at Three Bags Full.
In this class you will learn:
· How to warp a loom
· How to wind your shuttle
· Weaving Terminology
· Parts of a loom and the accessories
· How to choose yarns for weaving
· Discussion on heddles and dents
· How to weave a header
· How to create a plain weave placemat
· Finishing your placemat

Felted Purse on a Ball
Skill Level No Skills Necessary (This project will require a long period of standing)
Description: A wet felting project that’s sure to please! Start with raw woolen fiber and using a number of props you will turn it into a beautifully felted purse.
Duration: @ 6 hours
Date: Friday March 28, 2025 (last Felted Purse class till September)
Please bring a bag lunch.
Class Cost: $120 (includes materials)
Materials: You will need to come in to select your preferred colors. You must bring 2 beach towels to the class.

Learn to Crochet Workshop
Skill Level: Beginner/Novice
Description: Learn the crochet basics in this two week class. Week 1, we will teach you the chain and single crochet stitches. During week 2, we will review your progress and teach the double crochet stitch and the half double crochet. We will end the class giving you a pattern for a simple crocheted headband to try on your own.
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks
Dates: Saturdays – March 15 & 22, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Materials: Size H hook, 1 skein worsted weight yarn

Irish Hiking Scarf Workshop
Skill Level: Intermediate Knitter
Description: Learn cables and make this beautiful scarf! This is a great way to learn the cable technique and at the same time make a beautiful scarf to keep or gift.
Duration: 1 Session - 2 hours
Dates and Times: Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Class Cost: $30
Materials Fee: Not included in the cost of the class. 350 yards of worsted weight yarn, size US 8 needles and a cable needle. Stop in to pick out your yarn ahead of time!

Twinkle Toes Workshop
Toe Up Socks with Short Row Heel
Skill Level: Intermediate Knitter
Description: This is a great project for new sock knitters or those looking for a new technique for sock knitting. Make one in this class, try two at a time for the next pair. Perfect your magic loop skills, it’s all fun! Not sure what size to make, try them on as you go!
· Week 1: Learn Judy’s Magic cast on to start your toe. Increase to your desired foot width. Continue to knit the foot. Knit to the heel for the next lesson. (Two weeks off in between Week 1 & 2)
· Week 2: Learn how to knit a short row heel, continue knitting and before leaving, learn how to use a stretchy bind off to ensure the top of your socks will fit correctly.
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks
Dates: Saturdays – April 12 & 19, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Materials: One skein of sock yarn, 40" circular needle size US2 for Magic Loop

Baby Surprise Jacket Workshop
Skill Level: Beginner Knitter (must be able to cast-on and knit)
Description: Elizabeth Zimmermann’s classic Baby Surprise Jacket. Knit in one piece, change colors when you like, it’s perfectly symmetrical. And it’s really a magical surprise!!
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks
Dates: Saturdays 5/17 & 5/24/2025 – 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Class Cost: $60
Materials: 100 gr sport to DK weight or 2 skeins of worsted weight; needles to achieve gauge: 6 sts / inch to have a newborn – 6 mos sweater; 5 sts / inch for 1 year old.

Cranky Lessons
Skill Level: Patience – not much hand knitting experience required
Description: Learn to knit socks on a Circular Sock Machine. This will be an individual lesson. We will make a sock and then help you make a sock. This challenging and fun machine will leave you with a pair of socks or a big mess. That’s why we call her Cranky!
N.B. - This is a new class at Three Bags Full - will be experimenting with timing and approach to the class - Be a groundbreaker@
