Introduction to Weaving

Description:
We will be using Shacht 15” Cricket looms for this class, provided by Three Bags Full. We will begin by warping our looms and continue to weave a placemat 12 inches wide and approximately 18 inches long. Cricket Looms may be purchased at Three Bags Full.
In this class you will learn:
· How to warp a loom
· How to wind your shuttle
· Weaving Terminology
· Parts of a loom and the accessories
· How to choose yarns for weaving
· Discussion on heddles and dents
· How to weave a header
· How to create a plain weave placemat
· Finishing your placemat

Felted Purse on a Ball
Skill Level No Skills Necessary (This project will require a long period of standing)
Description: A wet felting project that’s sure to please! Start with raw woolen fiber and using a number of props you will turn it into a beautifully felted purse.
Duration: @ 6 hours
Date: Friday March 28, 2025 (last Felted Purse class till September)
Please bring a bag lunch.

Finishing School
Skill Level: Intermediate Knitter
Description: Improve you finishing skills in knitting by piecing together this mini sweater. Learn to assemble sew your sweater with mattress stitch, pick up stitches for the front and neck bands, weave in ends and discuss blocking techniques.
Duration: 3 hours
Date: Saturday, January 17, 2026 12:30 – 3:30 pm
Class Cost: $35
Materials: 200 yards worsted weight, Size US 6 & 8 needles

Twinkle Toes / Toe Up Socks with Short Row Heel
Skill Level:Intermediate/Advanced Knitter
Description: This is a great project for new sock knitters or those looking for a new technique for sock knitting. Make one in this class, try two at a time for the next pair. Perfect your magic loop skills, it’s all fun! Not sure what size to make, try them on as you go!
· Week 1: Learn Judy’s Magic cast on to start your toe. Increase to your desired foot width. Continue to knit the foot. Knit to the heel for the next lesson. (Two weeks off in between Week 1 & 2)
· Week 2: Learn how to knit a short row heel, continue knitting and before leaving, learn how to use a stretchy bind off to ensure the top of your socks will fit correctly.
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks

Irish Hiking Scarf Workshop

Description: Learn cables and make this beautiful scarf! This is a great way to learn the cable technique and at the same time make a beautiful scarf to make or gift.
Duration: 1 Session - 2 hours

Brioche Two Color Scarf Workshop
Skill Level: Advanced Knitter
Description: Learn to knit a two-color reversible scarf in Brioche. You will learn “Brioche knit” (BRK) and “Brioche purl” (BRP) and how to knit using two contrasting colors. This is a great way to learn the concepts of Brioche knitting with this beginner Brioche pattern.
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks

Materials: Two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn, 400 yards each.

Felted Slippers
Skill Level: Intermediate Beginner (you must be able to cast on and knit)
Description: Knit and felt these adorable slippers. The knitting is simple, the results are awesome! This is a fun project and great as a gift. You will have time to make lots of pairs by the holidays. Sign up and we'll show you how!

Lucy's Knit Mosaic Tote Bag Workshop
Skill Level: Intermediate (you must be able to cast on and knit)
Description: Learn Mosaic Kitting and make this beautiful cotton tote bag. This simple technique looks hard but is actually quite easy. You only use one color per row. This is a very popular technique used by Andrea Mowry and many other designers.
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks
Dates: Saturday – March 14 and 21, 2026 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Class Cost: $60
Materials Fee: Size US 7 24” circular needle. Two contrasting colors of DK or light worsted weight yarn: Color A (light) ~ 270 yards; Color B (dark) ~ 180 yards
Prework: With Color A, cast on 65 stitches, knit 4 rows

Cranky Lessons
Skill Level: Patience – not much hand knitting experience required
Description: Learn to knit socks on a Circular Sock Machine. This will be an individual lesson. We will make a sock and then help you make a sock. This challenging and fun machine will leave you with a pair of socks or a big mess. That’s why we call her Cranky!
