Description:
We will be using Shacht 15” Cricket looms for this class, provided by Three Bags Full. We will begin by warping our looms and continue to weave a placemat 12 inches wide and approximately 18 inches long. Cricket Looms may be purchased at Three Bags Full.
In this class you will learn:
· How to warp a loom
· How to wind your shuttle
· Weaving Terminology
· Parts of a loom and the accessories
· How to choose yarns for weaving
· Discussion on heddles and dents
· How to weave a header
· How to create a plain weave placemat
· Finishing your placemat

Skill Level: Intermediate Knitting
Description: Afraid of knitting a lace project? This is a great way to start. Using approximately 1 skein of worsted weight yarn you will make this beautiful shawlette. Learn how to read a chart and handle repeats in this pattern. Then learn the technique of blocking to make your shawlette look even better!
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks
Dates: Saturdays – May 27 and June 3, 2023 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Materials: 1 skein of at least 200 yards worsted weight, US 8 circular needle 32” or longer

Skill Level: Intermediate Knitter
Description: This is a great project for new sock knitters or those looking for a new technique for sock knitting. Make one in this class, try two at a time for the next pair. Use double point or magic loop, it’s all fun! Not sure what size to make, try them on as you go!
· Week 1: Learn Judy’s Magic cast on to start your toe. Increase to your desired foot width. Continue to knit the foot. Knit to the heel for the next lesson. (One week off in between Week 1 & 2)
· Week 2: Learn how to knit a short row heel, continue knitting and before leaving, learn how to use a stretchy bind off to ensure the top of your socks will fit correctly.
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks

Materials: One skein of sock yarn, 40" circular needle size US2 for Magic Loop, or double point needles size US2)

Skill Level: Intermediate
Description: Double knitting is a form of hand knitting in which two fabrics are knitted simultaneously on one pair of needles. This reversible pattern will teach you the basics of double knitting. You can make some amazing projects with this technique.
Duration: 2 hours for 1 week
Date: Saturday – June 24, 2023 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Class Cost: $30
Materials Fee: Small amount of 2 contrasting colors and circular needles appropriate for the weight of the yarn

Skill Level: Intermediate ( you must be able to cast on, knit and purl)
Description: Learn Entrelac Knitting, beginning with a "turban like" headband. Once you learn the Entrelac technique, you will be able to create amazing scarves, shawls and sweaters that will stop people in their tracks! (I will teach you how to "purl backwards" to reduce the amount of turning while knitting!)
Duration: 2 hours for 2 weeks
Dates: Saturdays – July 15 & 22, 2023 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Materials: One skein Berroco Sesame or 2 skeins of Plymouth Gina or comparable yarn. Size US 8 short straight or circular needles

Skill Level: Patience – not much hand knitting experience required
Description: Learn to knit socks on a Circular Sock Machine. This will be an individual lesson. We will make a sock and then help you make a sock. This challenging and fun machine will leave you with a pair of socks or a big mess. That’s why we call her Cranky!
N.B. - This is a new class at Three Bags Full - will be experimenting with timing and approach to the class - Be a groundbreaker@
