Description: Want to learn a new skill? Steeking is a shortcut used to knit garments such as sweaters in the round, usually in conjunction with Fair Isle, without interruption for openings or sleeves until the end. After completing a tube, a straight line is cut along the center of a column of stitches, in order to make room for an opening. It sounds scary? It is, but we will make it easy.
Instead of trying this on a sweater, we are knitting a coffee cup cozy; a good way to perfect our skill before we cut into a sweater.
The first class will focus on Fair Isle knitting, in the second class we will steek our cozy, pick up the stitches for the button flap, and finish off the steek.
Be brave!!!!
